The small NANO pool is designed for a water surface area of less than 10 m². The small NANO pool may be exempted from official approval (source www.service-public.fr):
- no official formalities
- no special tax
You can install a pool in your garden without prior approval in the following cases:
- uncovered pool under 10 m² in area (water surface)
- covered pool no more than 10 m² in area in an enclosure less than 1.80 metres tall
- above-ground pool (inflatable or kit for instance) installed temporarily, i.e. for up to 3 months in the year (15 days if your home is in a conservation area).
Warning: local planning rules (land use plan or municipal plan) may impose further restrictions. Check with your council’s planning department.
